Pay Scale

Rs. 12,000 � Rs. 52,000 (Pay Band�I)
Grade Pay: Rs. 3,900

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality and Residence

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen
• Permanent resident of Assam
• Registered with local Employment Exchange in Assam
• Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years

Age Relaxation:
SC / ST (P) / ST (H): 5 Years
OBC / MOBC: 3 Years

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: Class VI Passed
• Maximum Qualification: HSSLC / Class XII Passed

Additional Qualification (For Extra 5 Marks)

• SSC Training Certificate
• OR Minimum 1-year work experience from registered NGO / Municipality / Government Department

Physical Standards

Height Requirements

Chest (For Male Candidates Only)

Weight must be proportionate to height and age.

Medical Standards

• Candidate must be mentally and physically fit
• Free from major diseases or physical deformities
• Normal eyesight (6/6 � 6/9)
• Varicose vein is a temporary disqualification

Selection Process

• Medical Examination
• Physical Standard Test (PST)
• Trade Proficiency Test � 50 Marks
• Final Merit List based on Trade Test marks

Minimum qualifying marks: 33%
25% preference (interview marks) to persons traditionally engaged in Safai work
